STOP PRESS  - CCH recently set up the Australian National Hypnotherapists Register Inc. This is currently open to practitioner members of recognised Hypnotherapy Associations and Hypnotherapy Assocations that are members of CCH (Including HAQ members AAPHAN & AACHP-Qld).  This register will be administered by the recently founded Hypnotherapy Council of Australia (HCA) sometime during 2011.

We recommend all practicing Hypnotherapists to join this Register as another step towards National recognition for our profession. This is particularly important in view of our current efforts to obtain  Health Fund recognition.

State recognition
HAQ is a nationally incorporated association, recognised by the State of Queensland government, which provides ready access to government policy makers.

National Recognition
On July 26th 2010 a national hypnotherapy conference held in Sydney approved the establishment of a national peak body for the Australian Hypnotherapy profession. The Hypnotherapy Council of Australia*. The HCA constitution was approved and a committee set up to create the infrastructure for the new body.

A National Forum
Constant communication between member organisations facilitates the sharing of knowledge and experience nation wide. 

Involvement
Intimately involved in setting up the National Peak Body*, The Hypnotherapy Council of Australia.

Early Warning System
By continually monitoring State legislation we can defend the profession against the all too familiar attempts of other professional bodies to restrict the use of Clinical Hypnotherapy.
